Halloween Retreat 2008

CTIS held a retreat at our Associate Director’s house Imad Abdallah on October 31st, 2008. The retreat began with a quick dodgeball game among the staff and students that arrived early. Meanwhile, some of the ladies were helping in organizing lunch. As soon as everyone arrived, teams were formed and our first contest was the pumpkin decoration in which the staff team (Sara Montazeri, Shahram Misaghi-Bonabi, and Maryam Limouee) was the winner. Afterwards, lunch was served and a meeting of all CTIS staff and Research Assistants start with a discussion on the center’s strength and weakness. Several ideas were proposed for addressing the needs to improve the center performance. Then, we moved on to physical activities such as a four legged monkey race in which the team of Lourdes Pacheco, Carlos Solis and Tanya Ramirez came on first. The last activity was an egg blind and carry race in which Carlos Manzanera, Enrique Portillo and Dante Mejia won. All the winners were awarded with Cinemark thickets. The main purpose of this retreat was promoting team work among all members of CTIS.
